Glen Spey 10yo - Dalgety Bay

This small-batch single malt from Hannah Whisky Merchants honors their home, Dalgety Bay.

Distilled in April 2013 and bottled a decade later in October 2023, it reflects the expertise of Director Gregor Hannah and Brand Ambassador Paul Mckendrick.

This release spotlights a lesser-known Diageo distillery, renowned for its nutty and oily spirit, ideal for specific cask finishes.

Here, Gregor and Paul meticulously selected ex-port casks – one a refill ruby cask and the other a unique barrique seasoned with premium Douro Valley “Super Port” wine.

The resulting marriage beautifully balances the distillery’s fruity and spicy character with delightful secondary notes derived from the unique port casks.

Each sip promises a harmonious single malt experience, a testament to Hannah’s commitment to exceptional whisky.

There were only 681 bottles in this release. Non chill filtered, natural colour and bottle at 50.2% abv.
