Ardmore 13 year old - 1st Fill Syrah

Fib Whisky - Permutations Series 1 First filled into a bourbon barrel in December 2009 before being moved to a First Fill Syrah in August 2022 then bottled in December 2022 aged 13 years old at natural cask strength of 56.6%abv

Tasting notes: Expect a smoky, lightly charred core that blends beautifully with the darker berries of red wine. The fruit is fresh, juicy and intense, mainly ripe bramble, with a hint of darker chocolate and spice - cinnamon and nutmeg - towards the finish. There is also something towards the centre like a little bit of really well integrated black liquorice that rather than competing really complements the whole. A rich, juicy, wine-led peat sensation.
