Distilled in 1998 at Glen Moray distillery in Speyside, Scotland, this 28-year-old expression spent its entire maturation in a single refill hogshead cask, resulting in a limited release of just 233 bottles.
This Glen Moray is bottled at its natural cask strength of 42.1% ABV, without any added coloring or chill filtration, allowing the spirit’s full character to shine through.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Ripe bananas and vanilla create a sweet and inviting aroma, accented by a hint of zesty lemon peel.
Palate: The initial sweetness continues with notes of toffee and honey, balanced by a refreshing citrus character. Hints of milk chocolate and peanuts add another layer of complexity.
Finish: The candied orange peel from the nose reappears on the finish, lingering pleasantly with a touch of sweetness.
